:D

I had a great time. It was a little sloppier than I had expected it to be. Last time I went it was very dry and there was dust coving everything at the end of the day. I think everyone had a good time... We will have to do it again soon...

It was a really good time. Bigger is better, but I think I did Ok. I should be there again next time, just let me know when.

IMO... Bigger is not always better. Building smarter is best. A lot of people throw bigger springs under a Jeep and think since it sits higher that it is more capable. While yes, it tends to have more ground clearance, that does not always equal out to being more capable in the end. A well thought out build up will get you a better performing rig than someone that just throws this and that on a rig because they can.

All the "Little guys" impressed me yesterday. Both of the stock Rubicons did will and tackled some difficult obstacles that I didn't expect to even run, with no damage at all (Well, except for Michael wetting his pants when he came close to rolling. ) The KJ did okay as well, and with a set of mud tires would have tackled everything we did without a tug at all.

All in all it was a blast, and I hope to see everyone out on the trail sometime in the near future.

Ok, bigger is not always better but, a little bigger would have been better for myself and especially Eric on that last stump we had to get over. Just an extra inch or two and we could have made it without getting hung up. Eric would have really liked to not go down the hill almost sideways.

Agreed... Height has some advantages, but a well thought out set of upgrades that perform well together is much more beneficial. In my opinion, the best rig to have is one with the maximum amount of ground clearance and the lowest possible center of gravity. If you can gain ground clearance without sacrificing your center of gravity you are well ahead of the game!

I think one of the guys over at NEC described it perfectly the other day. "Function over fashion. Function will kick fashion's ass anyday!"

All right, to set the record straight... I had a great time... just being that this was the first time out in that rough of terrain, I was a bit frazzeled... well, actually, alot frazzled... Now, I have busted the cherry for scratches, so, bring it on! I also found out... I must get rid of the shovel, I must get a lift, and I need the bumpers I ordered... Oh, and being disco'd was flat out AWESOME!!! And, as far as wetting my pants, Bill, for the record, I deny it!

What about the new racing stripes on your seat cushions?? :D

There are not stripes on his seats, just one stripe. My guess is it would be a big brown stripe. It would be on mine if I ended up doing what he did.
