Assume I know nothing about this. I have never done one before. How do load one?

Click on "User CP" up top, then on the left click "avatar" or "edit avatar"

From there you can either link a remote avatar, or (more likely) upload one from your computer by clicking Browse.

When I try to load one from my pictures file it says invalid file. I am ready to have a gun day at my house and use my computer as the target.
