View Full Version : Bent and notched a TJ add on cage

did a cage add on kit for a tj for a guy here (if he chooses to let his identity known) it is going to go thru the dash and adds a rear halo to a tj with ties from the vertical rears to the windshield cross bar. i just did the bending and notching mocked off of my tj he will do the final install. heres some pics.

That cage was for me. Thanks again Justin, you do good work. I can't wait to start burnin wire on it. As soon as I get settled in the new house I'll get going on it. I'll be sure to post up some pics.

Does the soft-top clear the rear halo? I know there isnt a whole lotta clearance there. Id be curious to see if the soft-top clears and if a hardtop would.

I'm pretty sure the soft top will clear. I'm just not sure if it will fold back. But that really doesn't matter to me because I never fold it. I just put it on for the winter and put on the safari top in the summer. A hard top should be no problem. But there will never be one on mine.

I know i cant fold my top back with my rear halo. I thought for sure it would clear, never bothered to check until i welded it in place. Then found out it doesnt. haha

Justin and I thought of it. But I told him I didn't care if it folded so long as it fit on. Like I said come summer time I take the soft top compleatly off.

and once you have a garage jeff, you wont need to put a top on it..lol

the way it is cut i was able to fold my top up and down while it was mocked into place.
