New to this site so here it is, a work in progress.

1999 silverado RCSB

SAS using a Dana 44 HD front and a Dana 60 rear from a 1975 F-250 High Boy

First I had to get rid of the NP246. That slip yoke crap front and rear aint gonna work. Neither is the auto trac. Swap it out with a NP241 from a mid to late 90's 1500. They have a VSS and will work with the 99-06.

Next SYE for the 241. The front is now a fixed yoke, but slip yoke rear is weak.

Gutted all the IFS garbage. Leaf spring mount kit for 88-98 chevy 1500 from SKY. Had to make work with the 99.

I got bored and didn't like it. Going 4-link now with coil overs.

Got all my brackets from Barnes, Ruff Stuff, and Ballistic Fab.

Will get some pics of process up soon.

I like it!

Are you going to be able to squeeze a true 4-link in there with the engine/exhaust? I'll be following this, because you don't see many late model full sizes going SAS (most opt for the drop brackets).

That is Badass! Nice job man, can't wait to see how it turns out with the four link setup :)

Yes I do, It's just sitting in the corner of the garage. I have the rear hanger brackets for the 36'' and 38'' frame widths. ( I measured wrong LOL)

Yes, the lower links are going on drop brackets. Been waiting on tubing. For some reason there is a national back order of 2'' DOM 1/4 wall tubing. This is just mock up. I had to first drill out for all the studs that hold the fuel line crap. Will be 2x8 - 2x10 rectangular tubing across the gap and will hold the lower links. Don't mind the rusty rockers. I replaced em and haven't got around to painting it yet.

And here's a pic of the 241 SYE with Carolina Drive Shaft.

This was the final result before I started tearing it all apart again. Was just trying to get a under shot, please no comments on the EXTREME flex. hahaha

TTT

Finally did some work. Been investing too much time in the 85 k10.

But anyway, got some things mocked up. Tacked into place. Already found out that I need to lower my upper link frame mount and move the axle mount about a inch towards the pumpkin. There will be much reinforcements put in, but gotta start somewhere.

Top link is angle back to help clear for the track bar. With it angled back, I still have 8 1/2'' of vertical seperation.

Top link is a lil steep, dropping the frame mount down about an inch.

Lower links are going to be triangular and mount to a cross member that will be mounted to the large drop brackets on the far left of the pic under door.

Made a few changes last nite to the setup, need to tweek a few more. Wheel base is way too stretched. Need to shorten it up by about 1.5 - 2 inches. But it is coming together rather well I think.

At ride height.

Hopefully I receive my track bar today. I know making that fit is going to change a few things again. Then it will be onto mounting coilover upper and lower mounts then ordering shocks. See what happens.

Thanks!

Eventually. Funds are lil low right now. Maybe next winter. Probably get some gears then as well. 4.88's

King coilovers for the front are ordered! 300/350 dual rate springs should work perfectly! I hope.

I have a 99 Ext Cab Z71 I might make into
a full size Truggy trail rig on 42s some day . I think
it would make a good rig.

Probably ditch the transfer case too, and put
a 205 in it with 60 Front, 14 bolt rear.

Looks good man. Need some 37s or 38s though,
those tires are dinky.

95% done. Got a test drive in and hit 45, but need to get this thing squared up with the lasers.

Need to get the E-brake cables hooked up and my hubs ordered.
