i doubt they do, you'd have a hell of a time welding anything to the unibody/whats left of the unibody. ive never seen anything like that anyway

OK, jokes aside - how bad is it? Are the rails rotting through? (hit them with a hammer, see if it goes through. Seriously.) I've seen some people sleve the whole rail with 4x4" steel box cut in half, and build off of that - but you're essentially building a frame under a unibody.

Some folks fine an XJ destined for the crusher and swap their parts over to that, if its in better condition.

If it's more than floor pans, there's not much to do but replace, or keep welding in until you have a Jeep again.

I think I'm going to start on it this spring. I'm not setting a deadline, I'll have the Sammy to wheel lightly - but the idea of selling the buggy made me ill, so it's time to bend some tube. I have a pro tools 105HD and Bend Tech Pro - just a matter of getting off my butt and doing it! It'll probably be a 2-3 year project with how much I work, but I like projects....

EDIT: It still has the original unibody under it, with Claytons welded to it (it was the 5th kit he ever made). Firewall too!

Seriously, though. Most unibody repair (at least for the shadetree mechanic) involves welding plate to the good portions of the frame rail to stiffen it up. If it's really bad, some folks cut it out and replace it with box or round tubing tied into the good portion of the frame rail.

i getcha...but if it was me, i'd probably do what you and matt did...dedicated trail rig...if you are gonna go through the bullshit of fixing it with patches...just tear it down and tube the bitch...lol
