automatic tranny? check your antifreeze. could be you radiator is leaking coolant into the tranny cooler part of the radiator.

No It's a manual. I'd say its prolly condinsation, I don't think he has been driving it much. plus it sat for a while when he was deployed.

Sucked it in through the breather would be my guess.

Sucked it in through the breather would be my guess.
Could be that too, I just figured that if he had driven through deep enough water then he wouldn't be confused as to where the water came from :110:

whats your coolant look like?
i took brown truck and trailer to pick up the zj, on the way back i was checking fluids at first rest stop when i discovered no trans fluid on stick....i put 3 quarts in every rest stop on the way to new stanton. everytime same thing, no fluid on stick but i had no evidence of leaking.

made it home next morning pulled cap off rad....yuck pink foamy mess.
cooler was leaking in rad. what the heck, it never fails.

I'm guessing you've been driving in some deep snow like the rest of us? Perhaps had snow even packed up in and around the tranny at some point, and that could be the water source.

Could the tranny fluid actually just get so cold any water in it would freeze and seperate? I dunno just thinking out loud.

I would just drain it and flush it then refill and see were it goes

This may be a dumb questions but did you use the right fluid?

That's what I was thinking. Mix the wrong 2 fluids and it can sometimes turn out like that.

Ha. My tranny fluid was straight up mudwater :(. Guessing that's the reason that it blew out...
