ok just curious. i don tlike car payments. but i think i might get one just so i dont get a whip that breaks down and is good enough to wheel on the weekend. i found a liberty renegade with a bds lift and its a 5 speed.

hahahaha sorry for the long link. didnt realize it was a paragraph long.(EDIT: when its posted its not a paragraph long haha) as ive said before, i do tend to change my mind a lot, but i know i want to wheel, i know i want a jeep. which jeep is the question haha. also, what letter acronym is the liberty anyways?

We got my sister an 05 renegade wih 79k miles for 8500 in september. It needed a windshield though. They're kind of a pita to lift with the ifs. Other than that its been a good little rig for her.

my wife had a 05 liberty renagade. i personally didnt like it. it was very noisy and rode worse than my lifted xj. it required more maintenance and got about the same millage as my xj with half the power. its ok for a second vehicle but wouldn't recommend it for youre primary. i made my wife sell hers after the trannie went at 112k. now she has a volvo sedan. which you can run the s**t out of and it keeps going. id say get a xj or zj if you want daily functionality and availability for upgrading

i had a liberty with a 3 inch lift. off roading was not its strong point but i took it places people said it would not go. it had good power compared to the zj i have now . i put 140k on it without a problem and im thinking about getting another one for daily driving but i will keep the zj for offroading

I have an 05 KJ regenade 6 speed. 3 in lift adn 265/70/16 tires. The lift was easy to put on just a problem with alignments that I have to solve. Not a problem with smaller lifts. As for how it performs.....On the road I love it. The 3.7 6 speed makes for decent throttle response (for a suv) it rides smooth and handles well. As for offroad...it goes pretty good. Haven't had it out a lot cause I have another but we have taken out in the deep snow and with the limited slip a good set of tires it goes pretty well. I wouldn't recommend it for hardcore wheeling machine but for DD and weekend warrior (green/low blue trails) it would be good. Also lots of room for gear. Hope this helps.

Also on Stagger4x4.com I saw a lifted libby for 9,000 but not sure if it was stick or auto.
