Intake Question

[Super Scout]

I am looking into possible upgrades for my scout one being a Holley Truck avenger carb. The issue is that I need a 4bbl intake I am not a fan of adapters and room under the hood is tight. I have a 4bbl intake which in the Scout world is like gold, for a used one your looking at 500 bucks. Here is the problem I got the intake off a junk scout some guy gave that had the ho0d off for about ten million years. Its rusted, not rotted its beefy chunk of steel but rusted none the less. Is there any advice anyone could give me on cleaning it the ports are rusty as well as the mating surfaces... any input?

i think brent had that carb in the cj for a little while, he said it sucked, wished he woulda kept his quadrajet.
