Honesty I'm impressed with what he did with a HF pipe bender. I agree, I don't like to see crushed tube but, for his own shit it'll do. Maybe that's the inspiration he needs to get a real bender and move on to being a good fabricator.

You guys gotta know that Brandon is a OCD fabricator, which makes his shit turn out sweet :) That bumper is nice, and at least the kid said that he learned from that bumper that he needs to use the sand in the tube next time. At least he ain't tryin to sell that bumper and it is a sweet design.

Sand in the old tube, that's the worst.

Oh, come on you will always be building somthing. You still need a cage too. Every thing on mine is almost done too but I'm sure I could still find stuff to use it on.

I dig the bumper... for 17 and a first attempt, it's pretty badass, I really dig the mounts. Oh well, a couple of bent tubes that don't look great: it's not a cage :)

Yah not too bad for a 17year old. At least his kinks are equal and look the same on both sides.LOL

/\ truth...

dont get the wrong idea, i think its great, i like the design, and i like the fact that a young kid is using his head and not his wallet.

Speaking of, I started back to work today. I drive a 2008 TOYOTA Tacoma for work. "recalled" But I know how to drive and stop. I'm not worried. I've already 60,000 on this one and will have a new one next year.

So this is what i was thinking on the pipe in the tube bender.Pipe is measured by inside diameter while tube is measured by outside diameter. That being said making the pipe die slightly larger for tube so you get the kinks on tight bends. So here's the idea if you take your tube lets say 1-1/2'' cut in half and form it and weld it to your 1-1/2'' pipe die you can have a tube bender on the cheep.MAYBE?? I could be wrong but was just thinking.

yes you can do it...i have bent 1 5/8 tube in a 1.25 pipe die with my bender a few times. it can be done.
