ok. i decided on an m/t tire. 20k is my goal for the life of the tire. my question is what yall run and why you think its the best or why you wish u didnt get it.

ive read reviews from online sources but havent decided. im ordering tomorrow to get them to get them here by sat and to get them on with my tow hooks and shocks. so i need to decide tonight. if you want to, let me know what and why you recommend something.

also, price is an issue and this is my dd. id like to stay under 240ish a tire

thanks

Do you have room for 33's on a stock f150?

Dick.Breakey
03-16-2010, 08:07 PM
yep. its got 265/75/16's on there now and have a mile or room. the 4x4 f150 with a leveled front end can fit the 33's with no issue. well almost. the valance might need to be trimmed a little. but thats it.

Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ's, my buddy ran em on his 3/4 ton Silverado they did good. Lasted about 20k miles of AGGRESSIVE V8 driving LOL. They did very well off road and were very streetable for a mud tire on the road, rain, ice, snow, mud, loose rock, dirt, they ate it up. I liked em. If I didn't drive so damn much I'd probably run em on my XJ. They may replace my swampers as my next offroad tire, I'm still not decided.

yep. if i threw a 4.5 or higher lift i could get 35" i think. but i dont care to pay a grand minimum for a lift for my dd

I ran the origional BF MTs on my rubicon for just over 40,000 miles. I just bought a new set at Whitehall Tire for $110...I believe. They may have been a little more than that, I can't really remember and it was only a couple of months ago.

In any case that price was for a specific size which is not the size you are looking at but they may have other sizes if you call. Just an idea.

I would def purchae them again, but will bemoving up a size or two next set and will have to search hard for a deal like that. Good luck.

x2^

I put 30,000+ miles on my last set of BFG AT's, good tire. I got the new tread pattern of the BFG Mud terrains on there now, i've only been running them a few months about 5,000 miles And they show little to now wear. Very aggressive, makes my little 2wd tacoma (work truck) go very well in the mud and trails. Poor little truck just doesn't have the torc to spin when I get in too deep though.

I'd check into them. I believe they are the KM2's?

just curious, why would you want the loudest possible tire?

Dick.Breakey
03-16-2010, 09:40 PM
ok. longevity is a little bit of an issue hahaha.

from what i hear boggers dont get shiiiiat for that

Dick.Breakey
03-16-2010, 09:42 PM
because its my first off actual road tire and i want to see what i dont like. also, i love the sound they make down the road. and i get on the freeway once a month or so. so that loudness is not an issue

discover stt's are on the way. getting them on saturday. 1001 out the door, m/b, alignment and whatever hazard program they may have if they have any. they were 233 a tire plus tax (and the 233 is installed).

just wanted to let yall know. they are not the first choice, though i feel theyll be fine. the other ones i was looking for couldnt be here for another month.

Not bad for 33s. My 31s ran me ~$800 OTD (got em when Cooper had a $75 rebate..basically covered tax.)

You should be happy with em :)
