I thought I'd post a few pics of my Runner. These are poser shots from the Houston Playground.

This has a few more mods coming soon - once I can pry the keys from my wife's hands (and yes, all the Smittybilt junk is getting tossed):

Currently it has:
K&N FIPK, Optima Blue, Flex-a-lite fan, manual hub conversion, quick change CV mod, Budbuilt low profile crossmember, Borla Catback, 1" body lift, rear lift (level) coils, Bilsteins, no front swaybar (bought lousy discos that kept breaking...), 5.29 gears, ARB lockers front and rear (but the OBA is not installed yet), Extended diff breathers, 15x8 Mickey Thompson Classic II's with BFG Mud TA 33's, PIAA 520'S, husky liners inside.

Stuff in my garage I need to install:
Land Cruiser (80) rear coils, Ball Joint Spacers, Extremeaire compressor, Viair Tank, Budbuilt Heavy duty skidplate and bellypan, Warn 9.5ti winch with synth rope, Cobra CB and some stereo stuff (I'm probably forgetting some things)

Stuff I still need to make/get:
Sliders, front and rear bumpers, roof rack (I have all the parts to build a homebrewed hydro bender setup), longer shocks to go with the Cruiser coils/BJ spacers, another battery, cargo box.

Yep, there's a few things to do still. Unfortunately, my garage has so much crap in it that I can only get about 1/2 of a vehicle in there. I was working on the Jeep last night outside in the 20's. That was pretty tough.

I love the look of early 90's 4runners (trucks, too), if only they didn't have IFS!

That's why I also have this in my garage (along with a couple of transfer cases :D ):

Last time I was there was over the summer. I suspect it's there.

Take the Houston exit off 79 (if coming from Pgh, you can see part of it when you get off on the ramp). Make a left. Go almost to the railroad tracks (couple of hundred yards) and make a left AT the railroad tracks. Go about a 100 yards paralleling the tracks and go up the hill on your left.

i thought it may be near the high school across from the coke dist. center (where i often work)....there's an actual playground and what looks like a trail leading into the woods but it's posted 'no motorized vehicles'

Yep, the one you are describing isn't it. I've spent alot of time down in that area. I sold all the furniture that went in DBT's new HQ across from the school.

I used to - I consult for them now. I sold the job after I left there. Do you know people from BC/OMX?

My fiancee' is in outside sales for them, yes - she just started a few months ago. I'd love to hear some of your views on the co. via PM if you have some time, I am considering applying there as well. Nice job on the DBT sale, btw! (and nice rig!)

if you have any more toyota front axles laying in your garage (or know of one for sale), i am looking for a complete rotor to rotor 85' front axle ...and if you are looking for good differental skids for your axles, I found great company that makes killer diff. skids for low prices.

I got mine from "Toyotapartsdude" on Yotatech. He has a yard out by Harrisburg with 30 or so straight axle trucks. I'll be going out in the spring to get the rear housing for a 2nd Gen 4Runner (doing a custom suspension)

EDIT: His name is Jason Liskey. You can email him at camotoy@prodigy.net. Tell him I sent you. The complete front axles run $150-200 if memory serves.

That axle buildup will be another thread in itself.......planning on high pinion 3rd with 5.29's and ARB, Bobby's new chromo 30 spline axles, Marlin hi-steer, etc, etc.

Armenti Auto Sales on Rt 28 at the 31st St Bridge has what appears to be a dark blue 82 pickup that is beat. They might be parting it out. You could get the axle and the t-case out of it. Probably not much else worth anything in it though.
