i am looking for a V8 motor for one of my samurais. i am leaning towards a 350 because of the availability of parts. maybe you know of someone that has an old chevy sitting in your buddy's backyard waiting to resurrected from the dead.:096: because of all the odds and ends that come with a engine swap i would really like to find a whole vehicle with these specifications.

running V8
fuel injection preferred
wiring harness preferred
auto tranny without overdrive
transfer case
under $500 would be great.

here is the vehicle that will be crammed with the v8. i bought this about 2 years ago for $75. THE PRIDE OF MY FLEET!

Think you could realy fit a 350? If you can, that'd probably be my choice. Not because it's a better engine, simply because of the amount of parts, writeups, specs, etc. It's just a common thing which could make it easier considering how many TJ's and other's did it.

i am trying to avoid the 305 chevy motor. because of it's weight and low horsepower. but thanks for the response. i allready cut the firewall out of the samurai, so it is just waiting for a small block. wow! SUMMIT has everything so cheap for a 350.
