Just got done bolting on an EMPI Carb on my 89 YJ 4.2. The instilation went fairly smooth. I ended up ordering it from 4WD.com as a kit including everthing for the installation. Even then fuel pressure regulator was part of it. The factory directions were a little sketchy at best, but I was able to manage. So far, I've only taken it around the neiborhood, but I'm already seeing a huge difference. I know everybody has there own preference, but after all of the reading that I did it pointed me in this direction. My early review is that it's a great bolt on carb.
Not sure how it's going to do with the emissions test at the end of this month. I got a guy that knows a guy that might be able to help with this. :icon_winkle:
