take as much as you can from the donor if it's all available (fuel pump, radiator, fan, money saving stuff). what advice are you looking for, where to put the motor mounts?

Check out Advance Adapters, they have everything available to do the swap. Yeah it comes with a price. IDK what kind of fabrication skills you have but if your trying to do this on the cheap you will need to fab some parts. Looking at their parts can give you an idea of what you need. As I always tell everyone, double what ever cost you expect to have to put that into your Yj and your probally close.

What engine do you in your Jeep now 4 or 6 cyl.? If it's the 6 I wouldn't waste my time with the swap because your not going to gain that much. The mid 70's 360's only have about 155hp & 270lb-ft of torque and the 258 (jeep 6cyl) has about 112hp & 210lb-ft of torque. So your only going to gain 43hp & 60lb-ft of torque.Thats a lot of work for very little gain plus the extra weight of the 360 and you would probably get 5 mile per gallon with that 360.
