Looking for a NON-POINTS type distributor to put in my truck. It has a 390 Big block (FE). I believe I have all of the wiring, I just need the dizzy.

Let me know what you have, It'll save me a trip to the junk yard.

The top parts from a duraspark distributor should fit in your distributor.

Umm...Are you sure? Doesn't the duraspark use a pickup coil?

Here's a picture of the parts.

I would try interchanging them from a 351-460 distributor. I think the only modification is to slot the hole the wire goes through.

Okay, I see what you are talking about. I have an old distributor from a 351m here that was able to look at. The problem is on the points distributor, I cannot see how to pull the "armature" off of it. It doesn't have a roll pin like the duraspark does. You are right though, everything else looks interchangeable.

Anyone have an old 351m-460 duraspark laying around? The spare that I have has a bad pickup coil in it....

I don't think it comes off. The base plate hole should be big enough for it to clear after the points are removed.
