Jeep stumble

My 97tj 4.0 sometimes stumbles and back fires. Then cleans up and runs fine they rest of the day. I have random miss fire codes but that is it. I was told it could be the computor can anyone confirm this or how can I Ck the computer?

I would check the ground and all the wires going to the the comp b4 replacing the comp its self, have way more cases of it being just a wire n not the comp especially if its a rig that goes offroad

I just put the motor in so I will Ck that it ran good for about a two weeks then the stumble started not all the time just once everytime out it. Thank you for the info

mine started doing that the other day ..when it was cold it stumbled and hesitated like it had a miss fire then once warm it was fine ..i tracked down a hose that was off the evap canister an it fixed my issue
