Trying to find a garage or a person who does work on the side to fix up my brothers Oldsmobile. Its a 1983 Delta 88. The body is pretty solid. Needs engine/tranny work. Cars smokes bad, no power and the transmission slips really bad. My brother is thinking about fixing it up but I am to busy to even attempt it. So if anyone is interesting in making some money let me know. Or has a recommmendation let me know. Ill give you more details if your interested.

Honestly, that is a $500 car that needs $1500+ in work. I would let that one go to the shredder.

Agreed, but it was his first car he likes it and it has a lot of sentimental value lol.

I vote for let the body look like hammered ass, drop a 502 big block, with a edlebrock EFI setup on it. 700R4, 9" with 4.56 and a LSD, put a lowered air ride SA LA kit and rear air suspension on it, and a 50 shot of NOS. Then lets go get some ice cream!

Or the cheap version: Caddy 500/TH400 and go get some ice cream.

I love ice cream. The car is a creampuff. The body is damn near perfect, interior is perfect. It was actually a really nice car. He got a job in DC and no one down there could work on it. He drove the car there, I towed it home. It bellows smoke and wont shift at all. I had thought a 4l60 and LT1 swap would be the ticket. I started to do a little research but who am I kidding I have no time. He asked me to find some shops to get an idea on cost to get up and going again. Whether is be to stock or with an upgrade. I know the car isn't worth much. But he really really liked that car. Being 6'6 he fit lol. I would think 2000-2500 would be enough to get up to snuff but I dont really know.
