700 credit towards the trade with 3 mags and a holster. It has 20 rnds through it. And he's from Ohio so no paperwork required.

No peperwork on what? If its a handgun, it needs to go thru an ffl regardless.

To the best of my knowledge. In Ohio when I lived there. 2 private non dealers can sell to each other without any paperwork. I'll still verify that. But that's how it was wen I lived there 10 years ago.

Ah guess I'd need to have an Ohio address.

It is legal for an unlicensed individual to purchase a firearm from an unlicensed seller ONLY if you reside in the same state as the seller.

When a transaction takes place between two "private" (unlicensed) parties residing in the same state, there is no State or Federal record keeping requirements.

It is not necessary under Federal Law for a Federal Firearm Licensee (FFL) to assist in the sale or transfer when the buyer and seller are "same state" residents.

Also, it is perfectly legal to send firearms by common carrier or mail (handguns must go CC) between private parties without going through an FFL licensee, IF both parties are "same state".

Not really sure what it would be worth. I like Sigs, and I love 1911 so I would be all over that gun. You know its gonna be good.

Guns America have them between 750-850 used. None have extra mags or a holster.

I've been hearing A LOT of good things about the newer Sig 1911's. If i didnt have to furnish an entire house right now, I would have a C3. I was looking at them at gander mtn and a gun shop by my house, salesmen at both stores told me people are reviewing them better than a lot of kimbers and they are extremely accurate out of the box for the price. If you got the money, id say get it. It looks sexy too

Sig's 1911 is nice, but tough to find a good fitting holster due to the slide profile/dustcover. There are a number of holster makers that make models specifically for the Sig 1911.

Thinking of this very thread, I fondled a few Sig 1911's at the show in Washington on Saturday. Saw a railed model in FDE, that made ME want THAT one on the spot! :118:

I'll look forward to your range report, because I've looked at the Sig off & on over the past few years, but this has sort of revived my interest again; getting to fondle a few there on Saturday, it's a good match to my hand (no awkward or oversized grip). It's piqued my interest! :045:

I love how sigs feel, but have been scared with ihe issues Ive seen and heard with them in the past few years. Wouldnt blink at picking up a good used one for the right price. Couldnt get me to shell out the cash for a new one.
