I picked these up a few weeks ago. Quad came from a co worker from his camp he is selling. And the truck came from Erie. Both were babied, and steals, plus the girl finally said we could afford them. Quad has 225hrs and was regularly maintained. came with warn winch, a plow, and some gear. Truck is an 03 with 90k, 6.0, auto, Ls, and super clean. It's been nice not having to borrow a truck to get drywall and lumber for the house and loving getting back into the woods, can't wait to get a trailer and get the Jeep back out there. The girl loves the quad so maybe I can convert her into the loving the Jeep yet.

from the last pic it looks like a yamaha kodiak 450 with independant suspension in the rear. nice quad and very reliable Pretty sure this, has push button 4x4 and locking diffs. Came with a warn winch, plow, 2 helmets and a rear seat cargo carrier. Great condition, his father in law was a small engine guy so it has been well cared for. We used to rent the camp from him and probably put 40+ of the hours on the quad. Other than the front plow lights not working this thing is pretty much spotless.

I really like the truck. Way more power than I'll ever need, I really like the low gearing except for on the street where it eats gas but its a spare car so.... I'm not paying for it daily. Eventually when I need new tires I'll prob drop down to 265s and do a BlackBear tune but that's years away depending on what trailer I get and how much crap I end up loading on it. But those are the only real changes I would consider for it. The frame rockers and body are in excellent shape and even the interior is really clean. The Ls power options are really nice, just enough to make it enjoyable without making it expensive, liking the electric fold in mirrors to keep it from taking up the whole driveway. The long range remote start is nice for these stupid hot days. I really wanted a Tundra but that wasn't in the cards ($$$) and I managed to find this for less than half of what most of the used tundras are going for which kept the girl happy, we can still afford the house remodeling.

I looked the other day but some of you may know this off the top of your heads why does the title of the truck say emissions exempt and is it true? The previous owner said since it was basically a 1 ton was the reason but I just don't want to get stopped and hit with a ticket for something stupid like that.

I think if its above a certian GVW it gets exempt for the emissions, not sure tho?

We have an 8.1 powered 2500hd at work and it's stickered and plated at weight class 4A, and it's emission exempt, anything over 8k gvw I believe is emission exempt.

^ I could be wrong with the 8k, it's something 8k-ish and over.

9,000 pound GVW and higher is emissions exempt. No matter what weight sticker is on it, we look at the door vin/gvw placard. My 2500hd is 9200 gvw, yours is probably simillar, Ryan.

I believe mine is also 9200, from when they asked me what weight class I wanted to put on it. Thanks for the info, just wanted to make sure sure I wasn't missing something.

There's a novel idea isn't it!

I wish you had been there when I was arguing with the dumbass inspection mechanic that tried to tell me Katey's 78' F-150 needed CATs after all because we registered it @ 5000 lb even though the door sticker (which your suppose to frickin go by as stated above) showed the GVWR (which is what the emissions testing levels are set via) said 6200!

Then he gave to the drool oozing out his mouth look when I mentioned how retarded it would be to go by the registration since if I classed it up to 9000lb (as noted above) then I wouldn't need emissions at all!

Some people should not be allowed to touch tools.

Do yourself a favor and get a trailer soon. Loose the ramps to get the quad in and out of the bed of the truck. It's not a pretty picture if one of the ramps slide out from under you. Truck looks good- I have 265's on my '04 HD and it looks "right".

Yeah a tilt deck trailer is next on the list of my toys, but it's still a ways off. Remodeling the house, our wedding and the purchase of these 2 basically killed all our spare cash. Hopefully I can pick up a few more side jobs and quickly replenish the depleted bank accounts. I really like these Lund aluminum ramps vs. the HF folding steel POS ones I've been using the last few years. Got them on trade for doing some welding from the previous owner of the quad. Light weight, wide, and support 1500lbs a pair.

285's on mine now, look cool but are to big I'm sure they are hurting the mpg. the truck is deff to tall it's kinda annoying to get in and out of. Not sure what kind I will get next time I want something semi-aggressive but not quite as much as the BFG-at's. Gonna shop when I start getting close on wear, I need to save any gas I can on this pig. haha

Mines an 05 with the 8.1. It came with 245 75s, then I put on 275 70,265 75, and now 285 75s. Did not notice much difference in milage, but it normally has a load on it and it's milage is ahh, not great. It is a bit of a step up but not like trying to get into a Dodge.:001:

Taking ratchet straps from the ramp to the hitch greatly helps keep the ramps from kicking out.
