Just opened a savings account for that gun. Got a while to go but IT WILL BE IN MY POSSESSION eventually.

A perfect zombie killing machine! I'll be blasting their limbs off till I run out then switch over to my 1187 for the headshot.

most people I've spoken to who are "in the know" think the difficulty with reloading the saiga especially closed bolt makes them less effective than something. Like this.

Although the s12 is tricky to reload, and I'm "in the know", because I have a converted one, it is cheap compared to those other shotguns. With some practice though, the s12 can be reloaded reasonably quickly, and with 20 round drums its a solid buy as a sub-$1000 shotgun.

ya but how big and hard to carry is a 20 round drum? and a mag gets what? 8 rounds? plus reloading with a closed bolt takes some sack to seat the mag/drum.

i've heard you can do a mag well but then that takes away the drum option...

i'm digging the other options personally. i dig the s12 as a cool gun to have though.

After watching a lot of guys run shotguns at the FN 3gun championships (I RO'ed stage 1 this year)... my money is on a traditional setup, preferably Benellini. Least amount of problems, and a heck of a lot of versatility (if you practice).

My bud Nick ran his KSG in that comp... with some mixed results (IMHO). Slow as hell to reload, controls are a bit off, and it is a shogun designed to be run hard, but still not a semi, as keltec would not be able to sell them in a lot of states.

Saigas ran pretty well, mostly saw them run with the larger stick mags, which while huge, cannot be left loaded very long, even with high brass shells. The manual of arms on them is very desirable though.. but still, not as versatile as the standard setup with a couple rounds slung on gun. Best times on my stage were with normal setup semi-auto shotguns.

I don't even try to load a mag or drum on a closed bolt. I support the shotgun with my shoulder and left hand and hold the bolt back with my left hand while loading with my right hand. Once you empty your drum then your only practical option is going to mags, or maybe someone out there has made a carrier for the promag 12 round drum aka the nut sack.

I feel in love with the AA12 after seeing it on a FPS russia video... does anyone know if you can find them anywhere?
