I've been doing alignments on my jeeps since I've owned them and also got the results pretty close to perfect. I have never done one on an IFS vehicle though. My buddy has a 2009 toyota tacoma 4x2 and needs an alignment bad cuz passenger front tire is going bald and it pulls to the right. The truck was "Certified" by toyota before he bought it last year but apparently they didn't do the alignment (or there's something worn out). They did throw on two brand new tires instead. Is aligning the IFS easy to do with a tape measure like a solid axle? Do they follow the same 1/8-1/16" toe in?

You can set the toe with a tape measure but you will have a much tougher time setting caster and camber. Take it to a good alignment shop and tell them you want a print-out of the before and after readings.
