I have a 98 xj w/a 4" lift. I was planning on going to jeep fest. my trailer isn't done yet. I bought a tow bar. I looked at my bumper and figured it wasn't sturdy enough to pull my xj. I don't have all my $$$ saved up yet for my winch bumper. Do u guys think I can reinforce the bumper to make it sturdy enough to pull with?
I was going to call steel place in Jeanette in am to see what they have. any ideas will help. I don't want to severely modify it to tow it.
And should the trans and t-case be in neutral when towing or just t-case? it's a 4.0 w/ auto 241 case I think. whatever is stock.
