So I'm looking into tube fenders for my YJ. Leaning towards Metal Cloak for a few reasons. Inner fenders are included and the 6" flare option. Anyone have any experience with them? I know they are pretty much the highest cost option, but I only want to do this once.

i hate the way they look.

i'm a fan of moab fab (now stout fabrication). they'll do any width you want. i did 7" on my TJ, and he will do 0, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7 etc.

Yeah I'm not a fan of the angles on the metal cloak fenders. It just looks odd to me.

I like the moab fab fenders too but the price scares me a little. I wish they were cheaper but I usually say that about everything I order anyways. :)

I have a similar style to the moabs, don't remember the brand but it was a DIY kit. Or you could buy it assembled for $90 more. I have the 6 (or 7?) inch flare. Using the stock inner fender scared me, but after doing it I have no problem with it, works good, looks good, and I would have run into many problems using ones that came with inner fenders. I have a lot of other stuff under the hood York air compressor, air manifold, line lock, ps cooler, extra relays and wiring, relocated shock mounts, etc. Would have been a very tight fit.
And the price was much more appealing.

And I think the metal cloak ones are about as ugly as you can get.

I really like my Genright outers. The inners are a bit rubbish, and if I was doing it again I think I'd just trim my factory inners instead of using the Genright ones. They claim to provide an inner fender, but really just send a couple of bent sheets of aluminium that need a great deal of cutting to fit. They also don't mention that the stock airbox will no longer fit, and neither will the stock washer bottle.

just reading some reviews on pirate people seem to like the moab stuff. also sounds like they'll fab up just about any modifications you may want

Moab doesn't appear to make a set for the YJ. The Genright are $600 without the inners. I considered the DIY kit from Trail Tubes but my fabricating skills aren't the greatest.

One of the things that really sold me on the Genrights was the aluminium option. I hate rust!
