Anyone know the easiest way to disconnect the console mounted stock sub woofer in an 04 TJ?
I kinda like to avoid pulling the console or radio if possible.

Easiest way is do disconnect the power ant wire at the radio you just remove the sub by tearing into the console

So disconnecting the power antenna wire will make the sub inoperable? Is it the typical blue wire for the antenna?
I realize to remove the sub I need to remove the console, but I don't want to remove it just yet. Just want to get rid of the cracking from it seeming to be blown.

I do not recall what color wire was used in jeep but it is the standard blue wire for any after market head unit.
When I relocated my head unit I did not hook up the pow ant wire and had no sub.

So did it work?

I ended up pulling the back half of the center console to get to it. Didn't realize there were about 8-10 wires going to that thing!! Hoped pulling that plug didn't disable the entire radio!! (it didn't)
Now the radio works without the annoying crackling of the blown sub.
Just have to figure out now if I'm going to replace the speaker or just live with no sub?
