What's up long time since I've logged in. My buddy's 89 needs rebuilt I figured I'd ask you guys where a reputable place was to order a rebuild kit from and possibly a reman crank. He doesn't wanna get the crank machined it's already been turned .10 over. You guys are jeep dudes so I figured someone here has had good and bad experiences with different rebuild kits. Thanks

89 YJ would be a carb'd 258 I do believe?

Dunno about boring it out. Probably wouldn't hurt to go .10 over regardless. I bought a kit from lce for my 3rz in my Yota but I'm not real keen to who is a reputable jeep place since I've never owned one.

There are a few engine shops around Washington that could probably help you out.

Smiths did the machine work on mine and I know he could order whatever my buddy would need. It's nice to order it online as a whole kit. It shows up and you have every single piece you need. I found some online just didn't know if any of you had experience with one set or another.
