My passenger dana 30 knuckle has an enlarged tapered hole for the tie rod. This causes the tie rod to be pressed in too far which destroys the boot and requires washers to tighten the castle nut. It still works though. Is there a fix for this or do I need a new/used knuckle? I been looking for an insert or something like that.

I would just get a knuckle. D30 knuckles are easy to find. I just scrapped a whole front axle.

Yeah I think I'm gonna. I see tapered inserts but they must be welded in. Bleh.

Heim replacement might be another option.

JKS uses an insert on their JK"high steer" set up. But I believe they use a bigger TRE. Might be worth a phone call though.

The passenger side joint is permanently attached to the draglink and I'd have to replace the whole drag link with something else. My steering is pretty much brand new.

I'll look into it.

I happen to have a polyperformamce insert, I bought it when I was gonna flip my tre years ago. I don't believe it has to be welded cause it has a large lip on top, might have to look into that.
