Alllllllllllllllllllllright...so if im ever in need of 'law enforcement' the correct sequence of calls will be...

Nice to know! hahaha

We all need to get together and do that again real soon...

I think that Kim should stay to the far left next time though. ;) She was trying to catch all of Ryan's spent casings with her body!

Oh, and there is no need to bring tazers to the range, but it did get everyone's attention. If they were not in awe with the devistation of the rapid-firing shotgun, I think the sound of the tazer being triggered got them!

I'll also be wearing gloves the next time i shoot my Mossberg. The web between my thumb and index fingers is ruined, bloody and bruised. Good times though...3" slugs and 3" buckshot!

He gets a little bent out of shape when we discuss firearms in the group. I am just trying to help the guy out.

sweet pics. Always cool to see some firearms getting used rather than just being cleaned and displayed.

I've heard great things about the mossberg's. I was actually looking into getting a 590 special this summer. I just dont shoot or hunt often enough to justify purchasing one like that lol

Steve is that a JIC I see sitting near the top?

Bill

That's a Mossberg 500A, 20" barrel. I bought it two weeks ago at an auction for $85. 20 rounds (15 - 3" slugs, and 5 - 3" buckshot) damn near broke my hand. The plug over the screw in the pistol grip is missing, and it shaved a nice chunk of skin off the web between my thumb and index fingers. What is this "JIC" you speak of?

JIC is mossberg's "just in case" line of pump action shotguns w/pistol grips.
I love the "just in case" title LOL

They are basically a 500 with a pistol grip....pretty much exactly what you have on the table.

No it's not a JIC. It's a little different. Notice how my feeder tube is the same length as the barrel...That's what makes it a 500-A. It holds 10, the JIC only holds 7 I believe. I do however like that case!

Bill
05-28-2007, 10:58 AM
It may hold 10, but if you fire off more than three consecutively you are feeling the pain!

Yeah...it's tough. Hard to keep that accurate target wise too. Obviously it's no target gun, but it sure is fun.

I could see it as the home defense unit...

I see the longer tube on yours now that you mention it.
The 500's kick some serious arse....SOOOOO many configurations to mess with
Dammnit i really need to pick up one of these things and get back into shooting guns :066:
School doesn't allow for much weapon-time...

I have always been a fan of the Mossberg, but I was looking at the FN tactical shotgun the other day and I think it may have won me over.

The FN is made my Winchester. I still like Remington 870 and 11-87 and Browning BPS over anything.

My brother brought out his Kimber 45 (it is a compact version) this weekend. It may be the nicest 45 I have ever shot. Very accurate, and it leaves nice big holes in the target. ;)
