While browsing my old webshots account I found a few ancient Pghoffroad pictures, from 3 or 4 years back.

And of course Ralph's old Tracker - and the places we carried it over

Hopefully somebody else (i.e. Matt, Bill, JB, Ralph, Bbaker) has some pictures to remember the beginning of Pghoffroad and can post them. Thanks to the group for playing a major role in my love for this expensive, yet fun sport.

Goodluck finding this guy with the hair!

Ha ha... I have hair right now. I have not shaved my head in over a week.

Sad thing is that it is mostly gray hair now. The last time that I let my hair grow out it wasn't gray and this is a little tough to get used to.

Dirty 4x4's, rocks and mud. Smilin' faces, flat tires and good natured ribbing.
That sounds like fun to me.

That sucks...I got some gray too if that makes you feel any better.

Yeah, I am not a fan... One of the girls at work told me today that I look about 15 years older with hair vs shaving my head. I think that is going to be my motivation for shaving my head tomorrow morning.

Man that was awhile ago, I remember the tire falling off. Almost twice. Lots of ice that day.

Actually, I sold that Jeep about 5-6 years ago (seems like yesterday.) I ended up with a VW Jetta GLX. It was a nice car. Loaded up with every option in the VR6 version. That car lasted about 9 months or so until I decided I could no longer live without a Jeep. I wanted a Rubi, and looked everywhere for one. I found the 04 Rubi I have now online at a dealer in MD. It was almost exactly what I would have ordered new and only had 1,104 miles on it. So, one day I took off of work, drove down to MD and haggled with the dealer for a while. I actually left the dealer in my VW and drove about 30 minutes towards home before we ended up on the phone haggling again. I turned the VW around and went back to pick up the Jeep. They couldn't get my license plate off of the VW and ended up destroying the entire trunk in to remove it. It was painful to watch, but I didn't really care too much since it wasn't my car at that point.

I have had the Rubi for a little over 4 years now. I have no regrets whatsoever.

January 19th... I remember the day. I was right behind him on the trail. I watched that tire come off again and again. I think I was the one doing play-by-play on the CB that day.

"... and his tire is off again!"

Go wheeling, have fun, stop crying foul.

Problem was it had the factory sport package with the VERY low profile tires. After I blew out the 2nd one in less than a month on a pothole I knew it was time for it to go. At $417.50 per wheel it was getting too costly.

Man, my ZJ was so cherry in those pics. I still remember a rock coming through my floorboard on Trail 8 that lifted my seat about 3 inches. I also found that trail to be much easier locked on 33s this past summer...

The grin on Tom's face when he flopped it:
