Was it a video or just a slideshow with really crappy pictures?

When i got into MTB, it was stuff like that (though in the woods) that got me in to it. I use to love to ride trials. A lot less speed, a lot more technical, and you got hurt just as bad as down hill. ;)

Want to check out some cool video.

I used to ride Trials also. That takes too much effort anymore though. It tought me a lot of good moves and bike control that I use today when riding regular trails. If you can ride trials and dirt jumps then you can hold your own pretty well on a MTB.

In the years that I rode, I dislocated my knee cap twice and had to get 8 stiches in the leg. Both my knees are bad however and I blame MTB.

My shins thanked me when I started to run clipless.

my shins still hate me. I think clipless hurt almost as bad when you slip off on those times when you think you are clipped in but aren't or when you release and they crack ya real good. I still love my clipless tho

trials is sick... that was ****ing awesome... that dudes got some skill... i have horrible ballance so i just stick to free ride... no clipless here... straight platform... azonic extensions... before i got my shin/knee pads they made my shins look like raw hamburger the few times i slipped off...
