They give you a lil' tiny more power, but I'd put the money elsewhere

...like my lift you are going to help me put on!!! hehe :D

thanks matt...i just wanted a second opinion...

would you advise maybe for me to pull off the whole throttle body and remove all the sensors and give it a good carb cleaning...just to get rid of some of the gunk in there...especially around and in the hole where the IAC valve goes...

Probably couldn't hurt, but the sensors we have are usually sealed and not really "cleanable" - well, at least on the 5.2?

yeah...i figured that...so i went to advance auto parts and got a new IAC...

yeah...they gave me the wrong IAC...haha

wouldnt even fit in the space provided on the throttle body...so i got to return it and order a new one...geez...

imo, throttle body upsize could be deemed on of the most worthless upgrads for a 4.0L...i mean 400 bux for something that gives you what? all of 15hp? thats as bad as the k&n fipk for 300 bux. if you're lookin to spend all that, why not just go for a chip?

$400? GAAAAAH! Don't even consider it then, haha. Or get a design and have a machine shop make it for you.

As far as chips go - most opinions seem to be that the chips don't do a damn thing for the ZJ's, only the mopar performance ECU does, but there's another big chunk of change that'd be better spent on a lift and buying my old bumpers ;)

you got it then...no bigger throttle body, lift and bumpers!!!

if not that hard...then you are my go to guy...

just let me know

by the way...i would like to be able to mount a winch on the front bumper if possible...

thats a different bumper. anyways...why not just put a damn 2" reciever in the thing? save yourself the daily driver weight, and have a removeable cradle. only way to go imo...

i was thinking that i might not even put a winch on the front...so i might just get the first bumper made instead...with just the D rings...works for me...

well...i am hoping to get my lift on before the end of this month...depending on when i order it and when matt has time to help me put it on :D

right after that i will be doing front and rear bumpers and new axles and gears...so maybe a month or two...given the time i have and the money i have to put into the bumpers...

by the way...how much do you think you would charge to make those bumpers? just a rough estimate would be fine...

double post like whoa...haha. it'd probably cost something like 1/2 id say? the price will obviously vary by design, metal thickness, etc. we'll figure it all out when the time comes.
