It will show up in whatever size you uploaded it in, the above tool is easy to use, and allows you to resize pics.

Eventually you will be able to upload here, and it'll automatically resize, but I haven't gotten that all set up yet...

Matt, is the image resize native in Vbulletin or is it an add-on?

Get the image resizer add in for Win XP (assuming that's your OS). It adds a image resizer utility to your right click menu.

Click an image or group of images, right click and resize. Cake.

See the DL links on the right side of this page: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx

It is native for "uploaded" photos, it's an add on for linked photos

Cool. I am switching a forum over from phpbb and I currently have an add-on to resize images. I was hoping to save that feature.

FYI, I've had problems where I resize something, and try posting it again, and it still posts up (to me) as huge. Then I found out that I needed to clear the cookies, so that I could see it for it's true posted size.

You shouldn't need to clear cookies, just hitting refresh on the page SHOULD do it, but who knows.

I kept resizing one a bunch of times and editing my post, and it just kept coming up massive, until I cleared the cookies and then it was teeeeny tiny. Had to delete it from photobucket and load it up again (and this was back when we had the POS computer that had a 6GB harddrive that my brother felt the need to install XP on, and we had dialup, and 128 mem, etc, etc. Yeah, it took 6 years to get ONE pic in a thread, I'm really suprised I didn't stab myself.....)

This might be a little hard for some to understand, but you can post thumbnails so people can click on the small version to get the full size version. Like this (click on it for a larger version -- I did absolutely no resizing to get it to work):
http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh110/ihjeepuser/th_axleend002.jpg (http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh110/ihjeepuser/axleend002.jpg)

Thumbnails are automatically created by most of the major photo hosting sites -- you just need to know where they are created so you can use them.
Here is a tutorial on how to do it from WNYOffroad:
