You know McCain is going to win in this crowd... They like to wheel, and they like guns. Dems want us to have neither.

I like to wheel and I like guns, but I do NOT want Palin a heartbeat away from the Presidency. Her being picked as the running mate made the decision for me. Plus, other foreign leaders would just be trying to bone our veep if they won!

I know I can't win this argument on this "fair and un-biased" forum, but I am pretty sure my rights will be fine. Repubs pushed for the Patriot act and that scares me more than Obama. Only time will tell. This chart seems to sum up how the system works:

You have to plan for the unexpected. To not do so would be foolish. When I wheel, I might be stuck, so I bring recovery gear to be prepared for that contingency.

That won't be an issue with Democrats in control of everything. The closest to wheeling you'll be able to get is sticking your head back in the sand.

I am pretty sure the Dems voted for the Patriot Act too. The only good thing about that act is its sunset provision.

And we never claimed this to be a "fair and unbiased" forum so who are you quoting?

Effjae

I wasn't quoting anyone. It's all good. We are all f'ed regardless of who wins. Maybe they could be co-presidents.

Your right to not plan ahead would indeed be foolish, but in this case I think Jason was referring to picking the lesser of two evils.

That article is a bunch of BS. First they used the New York Times poles, totally liberal and bias. The war in Iraq? Disaster? I would have to disagree, strongly. But hey, let’s kick the guy responsible for spreading democracy through out the Middle East. I assume people are mad about the the collapse of the Soviet Union too.
I voted for Bush for two terms and if he ran again I would have voted again. I served under him and could not imagine what it would be like if Obama, Kerry were to take over in that regard.
Liberals always want to bitch about what they don't have and how shitty everything is while they forget we are at WAR. It would have happened no matter who was in office. Clinton tried to take down Saddam as well, and failed. Nobody seems to remember that fact.
I am one of the few that agree with the war in Iraq. We had just been attacked and then you have another dictator, known enemy of the United States, ignoring sanctions and hiding what he was doing. Why wait to react? He needed to go and that's what bush did.
As far as economics, WE ARE AT WAR!! OOOH the government is spending too much, no shit!

haha, you makes me laugh. Have we ever lost more liberties than we have to the bush administration? I'll make it easy on you, have you honestly looked at the patriot act? Its un freakin real what it says in there, the ACLU has never been up against anything like it. And you talk about electing a socialist, is that the new buzz word, did liberal lose its zing? If you really believe in your message then you need to say right now you will never collect social security, you will offer to step to the plate for your parents and ask them not to collect it because your there for them, nor will you ever use medicare and again step up and offer to help pay your parents medical expenses when they come due, you need to say you will never collect unemployment, you will never set foot in a national park (Woodrow Wilson signed the act creating the national park service) you will never turn a light on in any house that uses REA electricty, in fact you just better never leave the city or eat any food that comes from a farm powered by the REA. My lord, I could go on all day, these are the freaking so called socialist programs the democrats have given us. Look at the ones these republicans gave us, start with the wall street bailouts they proposed, they decided bad business was good business as long as it was big business. They brought corporate socialism to us that the people opposed in masses, no good will come from the shit that has happen. I feel bad for those of you who cant comprehend this because sorry to say, you cant afford to be republican, not a single one of you, nor can your children.

I wouldn’t argue the success of the Democratic Party throughout history. I think it’s more the current president elect that I have disagreement. The man can’t solute the American Flag. He has known factual relationships with people whom hate my country. He offers nothing that I can agree upon that can help our economy. I do not agree with taxing the backbone of our economy at a time when we need it the most. Government controlled healthcare? So while these companies are already sending our jobs over seas because their factories and suppliers are being taxed at high rates, he is going to tax them more? This is going to reduce jobs and create further outsourcing. Forcing them to provide healthcare at a time when they can barely operate is going to reduce jobs, raise prices, and send more jobs over seas. Then he wants to reduce tax loophole incentives for businesses to go over seas, I just don’t see how this is helping us. IMO this will result in further job loss and higher prices all the while the American labor rate is already unbalanced and over inflated.
Not to mention all the other suspicious acts such as not releasing personal records, campaign donations, and I won’t even get into some of the other speculations I’ve read.
The only reason this man got elected in my opinion is because of Bush and the economy. People want a change and that’s all anyone looked at. Forget the fact that Obama was basically a stranger in the public eye and made zero attempts to let anyone in, but hey, he speaks well in front of a teleprompter and says exactly what laymen want to hear.

This election blew me away. I’ve never seen any other candidate in history have so much against him and still get the win. His record is ass backward from what he promises and nobody raised an eye. I just don’t get it.

I really do hope he does well and his plans work. If not it'll be a long 4 yrs.

I'm not arguing (much of) that, seriously. My argument was only between the two major options presented in THIS election. I made my choice based on what I felt was best, I no longer have any party affiliation.

It's over, I'm done arguing, you came to this cluster**** too late if you're looking for a debate :flipoff2:
