I just picked up a Savage .17HMR model 93R17BTVXP Bull barrel, Boyd's thumb hole stock, Simmons 3-9x40 scope for 279.99 at dicks.From what i have seen on the net this gun sells for 400.00 +:fenforcer:

I don't have much experience with .17HMR but I do know it won't set off Tanerite.

I took the 17 out today for the first time and sighted it in. I was able to get a dime sized group at a 100yrds.This thing is bad ass shoots 2,550fps with no recoil, can't wait to take out some groundhogs and coyotes! I was looking into getting a BSA sweet 17 scope 6-18x40. I heard a lot of good things about the scope i just wondered if any one on here has the sweet 17 and what do you think about it.
