....that they wouldn't mind letting me use Saturday morning to clean up my roller fairlead so I can refinish it? It's rusted all to hell.

nope... but you could use a wire wheel on a drill or angle grinder.... if you needed to.

No doubt I can go about it that way, I just figured it'd be a lot easier to blast than to wire wheel.

Really? Is it one of those pay to rent then get your money back upon return deals? I never would have thought to be able to rent a blasting cabinet. I'll have to make some calls this evening.

i know i rented a cabinet from home depot about 2 years ago, not sure about now. But if all else fails use a regular sandblaster and you could make a cabinet out of a plastic tote line with duct tape.

:003: You could send it to me and I could blast and Powder Coat it for you.

I can't afford it. Unless you're telling me you'll do it for free.

FWIW, I have a blast cabinet (smaller, maybe 14x20?, top loader, harbor freight type) that I'm looking to get rid of. Has a steel stand with it too.

It might have an hours use on it? I bought it, some stuff fit, most of the other stuff didn't. PM me with an offer if you want it.

I'll pass on that LordAthens, but I do appreciate the offer. I can't justify buying a cabinet for as little as I'll use it.

there is a place on 66 called bolens tools that sells generic blasting cabinets. it might cost you more but you can use it for other stuff.

Thanks RalphDogg, good info to know for a local supplier. Do they deal with tools in general or just blasting equipment? Although, as I stated previously I can not justify buying a cabinet at this time when I'm only going to be cleaning this little bit. I know in the future I may need to do more blasting on small articles more, but I'll deal with that when the time comes.
So, I'll keep options open if anyone tells me they have a cabinet I can come over and use. I'm not looking to mooch, I'll figure out a way to pay you back or do you a solid if you have a cabiinet I can use.

Keep in mind I don't want to buy anything at this time I'm broke as a joke and saving my money for a few drinks at the Red Star at the end of the month.

I saw one in the For Sale Section
On here or 4wd.com...
Sandblasting with a cheap set up sucks,
Go somewhere with a nice set up.
