Well it's kinda weird being stock again. Wasn't on any thing more than some dirt ridge roads, but it was snowing and I got a little feel for the way Quadra Drive works.

Here she is...

Not bad! When I was gettin rid of my TJ I was chosing between a XJ and WJ. I test drove an OL WJ. I loved it but it had waaay too many miles. In the end Im glad I went with the XJ. :icon_weed:

Good Luck with it!

Very nice ride. It will look great with mud on it tomorrow. What a great way to break the cherry.

The traction control/QD system is pretty good for a non-locker. My old 4.7WJ was a thirsty bitch when you got on it though.

Put on a BB and 31" AT's, rocker guards, and skids if you don't have them. They're rather amazing DD / trail machines after that.

My dad had a 2001 with QD we configured like that, it always amazed me.. I'm sad we ever sold it.

yeah a 2" bb is CHEAP. although a 3" with springs and shocks is like 300 bucks soo i have a lot of options...

it's got 3 skids... so i'm covered there.

this will suffice for a great trial rider getting me to my hunting places and what not, makes a good DD and will eventually be a great platform for a project later in it's life. i would like to put a 4" LA lift on it with 33" or 35" in tires.

the first mods will be a better exhaust and intake set up. i figure i can grab at least another 20 hp or more with that. plus i needs to sound a little meaner

i just realized i had factory rock rails.... went out this morning to get something and dropped the keys at the door while i was bent over i made the discovery.

i wonder how much abuse they can take??

Those are just the overland covers, not the Mopar (factory option) rock rails that are actually a tube going under the rocker. No idea how much they can take.

EDITED: Looks like they are real... haha the more i learn about this Jeep the more i love it.

The Overland rails can be purchased and easily installed on other WJ models, as shown in the above photo of a 2002 Limited. The Overland rails are functional, made of steel and weigh about 30 Lbs each. Only the adjustable end caps are plastic. The bolt holes for mounting (http://www.wjjeeps.com/railmount1a.jpg) the rails are already designed into the frame area on 2002 and later models. For 1999-2001 WJ's mounting holes must be drilled into the frame. For Laredo models, the side cladding must be removed in order to install the Overland rails. If you purchase a used set make sure the 12 J-nuts (http://www.wjjeeps.com/rail_unut.jpg) are included as well as the other parts listed in the chart below. The front brackets (http://www.wjjeeps.com/railfrontbrack.jpg) are built onto the rail and are not available separately. Butchen Engineering and Prince Metal Products designed and manufactured the rails for Chrysler.
