it is some good paint very expensive and it really took a lot of time to apply, but all the sanding, masking and making sure i did not get it all over the frame, tires and my motor took the most time lol

i would have it done if i had my motor, and if didn't help every one else with there stuff. but i will get it done for Yankee lake

i really need to get myself a cb

well the orange is kobota orange and it just looked way to plain. it was going to be lime green again but i was tired of getting shit for havin a lime green jeep so i picked orange and blue + it dont stand out as much as the green did it would of been a cop magnet.

you plan on driving that on the road? you're going to need like 12+ inches of flare to cover those tires and it still won't be legal. Very nice CJ though

destefano027
03-13-2009, 01:23 PM
my plans are yea i no i do need like a 10" flare but it should be kinda close to legal no not really but im going to try

I just got pulled over in my jeep saturday night State police said nothing about my tires and they are 35x14.50 boggers on 15x8's with stock tj flares in the front and some garden edging flares on my tube fenders up front. They were fishing for dui's and pulled me over because I don't have a license plate light

destefano027

I mean a big stretch. As in front and rear, and 115" or more wheelbase. It will be bit scary if it's any shorter, IMHO. Going full hydro will make it a lot easier to stretch the front too.

If you are going to full hydro with an AMC motor, you will really want to look at the PSC p-pump (modified saginaw pump) because you'll likely need a 2.5x8 (or 10) ram to get much steering. The steering valve (orbital) will need to be a high flow version, or you'll have 10 turns lock to lock. The AMC pump is also mounted high on the DS, and it makes for an absolute beotch to put in a nice sized reservoir. Billavista's steering bible on pirate is killer for setting stuff right the first time.
