Since 7.62x39/.223 are so expensive anymore I'm thinking of getting/making a gun in 7.62x25 since its still 1000rds @ $100 and still pack a wallop.
Problem is nobody makes a gun in this cal except some surplus CZ52 pistols.

So First idea make a AR-15 upper I've found some one that makes barrels so would anybody be interrested in having a 7.62x25 upper? It would use a 9mm AR bolt and PPSH43 mags and a drop in magblock. I haven't contacted the guy yet so who knows how expensive the barrels could be.

On to the second thought build one I can get a chamber reamer and barrel blanks so if anyone has a machine shop we can make the barrels.

Idea the third, we design our own rifle, I have a plan for a roller locked action in one of my design books and it would be unique would still use the 36rd PPSH mags total cost probably would be around $200 a unit.

So anyone in for the 7.62x25 round?

I don't know that much about guns but a friend of mine is into hunting and all that stuff and if I recall, he always made his own ammo. I would assume this would be cheaper but would be a PITA. Why can't you do this?

Why would I reload shells when I can make a new gun for cheap shells?
reloading is work
machining is fun
