Had my first ride on the Enduro

WOW is it different! i approached this log crossing. it was a bunch laid flat with ~8" gaps. i totally approached it wrong. didn't carry enough speed. Got ready to bail, and the suspension just sucked it up! it suprised the heck out of me.

i'm all smiles over here it came in at 30.5 lbs on the scale at j's.

    WOW what a difference!

hehehe looks vaguely familiar. were you the guy who was explaining to me what you did? i don't think i've ever put together who you are!

rear wheel is already way out. I need to order those damn rims and get the wheels built.

    Yup, that was me.

Specialized makes great bikes but their wheels are not super strong. They try and build them lighter weight. So when you get a more aggressive rider on them they have problems.

i'm going to use my hubs but do heavier spokes and ideally "da bomb" gold camo rims.

    It is no big deal.

Your plan sounds good. 2.0 spokes and brass nipples. You should have a strong wheel.

I don't have any experience with those rims but it looks like they have brass eyelets and they are wide, so they should be strong.
