    W.Pa.C. Crawl'n Camp Weekend

Tired of wheeling and breaking, just to have to get a flatbed to get ya home...

Come check out what my club does. We are a group of RC Rock Crawling Enthusiasts. Most of the time it is Comp Rigs.

This weekend we are holding a Scale Tough Truck Challenge in Harrisville, PA at the Kozy Rest Kampground.

These are detailed 10th scale rigs of the real things, D40 axles, Rockwells, Yotas, Jeeps, Unimogs, F350s, Tubers and yes broken parts...Snapped axles, Driveshafts, etc.

Only difference is you can pick them up and carry them home...

We have people coming from Ohio, New York and PA for this event. Come watch the fun and chat with us.

    There will be:

    Tough Truck Challenge Course
    Mudd Bogg
    Hill Climb
    Tug 'O War

Here are some samples of what we do...Just testing the course I blew a set of D40 Axles and a drive shaft...oh what fun...

Mind you...this isn't your Walmart RC Vehicle...some of these rigs can have over a grand in them...

COME ON OUT AND CHECK IT OUT...

Looks cool. I was never good at the detailing, but I could build and race 1/10th and 1/12th scale cars like there was no tomorrow back when I was a kid.

So is there someone who actually makes 1/10th scale rockwells?

$1000 is not a lot in the RC world. It's why I got out of it. I had rolling chassis that were $600+ and then by the time you added motors, electronics, batteries and radio you easily had another $1000 and this was back in the late 80's early 90's. Then you had the chargers, motor break-in machines, tire truers, power supplies, battery matching machines, soldering stations, tools, cases, parts that you broke, new tires once a month, it got expensive fast. Then try racing in three different classes two days a week.

Is there anything going on Sunday? I might be in the area and stop by to watch if there is.

I don't have a scaler but I have been building this. It's definitely fun and A LOT cheaper to mini wheel.

Well here is mine... nothing special. Was a T-Maxx but got bored up at school a few years ago so I built this on a budget. I cant remember exactly what it cost me but all I really bought was a motor, ESC and stronger steering servos, so under 200.

Best pic I have of the chassis I build for it.

Ok it looks like a blast. you guys are pretty inventive with some of the obsticles. But I just don't understand running a mini winch cable and winching someone elses rc crawler with yours. Am I missing somthing here? cant you just walk over pick the damn thing up and flip it over. I mean I kind of understand some people are into making there mini rig as realistic as possible, but come on!
