its about time for a update...
I was finally able to go on a trail ride with you guys to casparis and i was pleased with how the truck handled. It really made me want to get everything finished and go out some more.

I got my old con-fer roof rack all sandblasted and repainted. (pictures will follow soon)
I got most of the prep-work done on my sliders they will be welded on soon.

I just got some parts in this week...
    Transfercase mount parking brake
    Budbuilt skid plate
    63" chevy spring mounting kit
and a steering box frame gussits

does anyone else find a cardbord box of unfinished laser-cut steel sexy?

I also picked up one of the co2 tanks that Deathblade was selling so I need to figure out a way to mount it in the truck.

I am planning on painting some of the parts this week and installing them on saturday. I will try to post pictures of the progress.

I got some work done today.
I mounted my transfercase emergency break and new skidplate.
It should be nice to have a working e break for the first time in years.

    old

    New

I gained almost 3" of ground clearance with the bud-built skidplate.

here are a few pictures from when we went to casparis.

Looks good! I wish I could find one of those Con-Ferr racks. Shame they went out of business.

Thanks. I bought the roof rack 9 years ago, it spent the last 5 years sitting on the side of my garage and i finally got it repainted.

So I spent some time working on the 4Runner this weekend.
I am attempting on getting it ready to go for the overland trip this summer.

I registered it as an antique and now have insurance on it again.

I bought 2 new batteries and built a new battery tray.

here is a pic of how much i needed to cut out to make space.

the truck started right up with the fresh battery.

I now have a new list of things to do that looks a lot like the 6 year old list.

I got a few hours of nice weather on Saturday and was able to change the spark plugs and install a fuse box.
