yeah xj. i dont really care what kinda jeep i look at. id rather have the yj(tj) but id look at the xj for that price thats for darn sure. the only reason i dont look more often at the xj's is because it typically takes a big lift to get 33" tires underneath the thing. and for a stock xj at 3k or more, i dont really want to spend that and then pay for the lift. but for 1700, id definitely do it. and get the lift and wheel/tire combo i like. know what i mean?

oh, and u cant beat that its the 2 door and 5 speed.

ok so i have a guy with an 01 xj sport wanting to trade straight up. its blue with the paint matched grill and bumper. only got 109k on the 4.0 and its an auto. 4 door. bone stock. has the upgraded wheels (the ones that resemble, or maybe are, the ones from the liberties). new tires. though not for the off road. anything i should look out for with the xj's

RUST. check the rockers and floors. IMO the rockers are a good sign of what you'll find everywhere else. Also ask if it's had any head work done. The 01's seem to have this problem.

I don't have the specifics on the cast numbers or anything but it's common for the 00-01 to crack. I guess it's from being over heated.

    This should help:

I would, it's just a big 4 wheeler. A friend of mine had one that would pull wheelie's all day long. Good times.
