    Bald Eagle

I saw a Bald Eagle while at lunch today in Monongahela. I was able to watch it for a good five minutes before it moved on up the river.

Seeing one in person really reminds you how big they are, rather than seeing them on TV. Half again bigger than the biggest Red Tail hawks we're used to seeing around here.

I have seen a good many bald Eagles, but never one in PA. That's pretty cool.

You can see them by the Kinzua dam all the time. I've never seen one this far south though. Good stuff.

I saw one a few years ago scavinging some road kill. It was in Sarver on 356 right by my parents house. I was really suprised, not that I saw a bald eagle but that it was picking at a daed carcus. I didn't think that they would do that. I thought they only ate fresh kills. They are definitly cool to see though.
And dont try to telll me it was a turkey vulcher. I used to live out west and I have seen hundreds of bald eagles, and they look nothing like a turkey vulcher.

My uncle has trail cam pictures of two bald eagles on the ice at Beaver Run Reservoir. His neighbor (a very strange veternarian) picks up roadkill deer and puts them on the ice with a trail camera to see what predators are around.

I've seen a few in person in Canada, very sweet birds.

I'd really like to see one. I've been all over the rocky and smoky mountains but I've never seen one. My mom saw one last year on 28 near cheswick. I was jealous.

theres quite a few along the Allegheny. I saw 2 at the same time in Parker. You can usually spot one at least canoeing from around Kennerdell down to Parker.

Here's a couple here. They have bouys in the water so you can't get within a hundred or so yards of them since they're nesting. This was at Bald Eagle State Park. There was one between Wilcox and Johnsonburg last year but I haven't seen it since and I've seen a few while fishing the Marienville area....Tionesta, Spring Creek....

I had one fly over the house a couple of times this spring. They are incredibly big. I think I know where there nest is but we've never gone and confirmed it.

Saw one flying around this weekend. First one I've ever saw. No mistaking it. The white really stands out.
