Scouts were banned by the government because they were afraid of us becoming to awesome. It was the begininng of communism in the USA. The story of IHC going bankrupt was just made up....lol

The coolest thing about Scouts is that they were made by a tractor company, not a car company. Which makes me wonder why they used a Nissan diesel.

Update on situation.

News just said Dems have added the government takeover of student loans onto the healthcare bill.

You go to approved schools for what we want or you do not get the loan.
It is for this reason some private schools do not accept gov. school loans

Im not sure if the following story is true or not (cant trust internet) but regardless I believe it rings accurate. Take away someones reward for hard work and they will not try as hard.

An economics professor at a local college made a statement that he had never failed a single student before, but had recently failed an entire class.

That class had insisted that Obama's socialism worked and that no one would be poor and no one would be rich, a great equalizer.

The professor then said, "OK, we will have an experiment in this class on Obama's plan". All grades would be averaged and everyone would receive the same grade so no one would fail and no one would receive an A.

After the first test, the grades were averaged and everyone got a B. The students who studied hard were upset and the students who studied little were happy.

As the second test rolled around, the students who studied little had studied even less and the ones who studied hard decided they wanted a free ride too so they studied little.

The second test average was a D! No one was happy.

When the 3rd test rolled around, the average was an F.

The scores never increased as bickering, blame and name-calling all resulted in hard feelings and no one would study for the benefit of anyone else. All failed, to their great surprise, and the professor told them that socialism would also ultimately fail because when the reward is great, the effort to succeed is great but when government takes all the reward away, no one will try or want to succeed.

Sorry to stir the pot. I just had to add something since I read through every page of this crazy thread. Man, I need to get a life!

A nurse who is a member of this forum informed me a while ago that none of the advancements in heart care/surgery have come from the UK or Canada. Both "public healthcare" systems (think public housing)

There was a member of the Canadian gov within the last 2 weeks who came to a doctor in Florida for heart surgery. He could have had it at home Free

It will end up like public school. You can still go to private but you still have to pay taxes for everyone else. Actually I belive that is what is happening in UK.
