Recently I have been in the market for a new daily driver/tow rig. I thought I had it narrowed down to this:
A new '06 Ram 1500 Hemi with tow package, cloth interior and some options like power sliding rear window and Sirius. Then I spent the day driving this yesterday:
The Grand Cherokee Overland is my dad's demo and has about 8500 miles on it. It's got the Hemi and tow package, as well as a sweet 2 tone leather interior with woodgrain trim and just about every bell and whistle (including power fold in mirrors to pull into the garage ). Not to mention it looks and drives like a dream. The only thing that I'm not too fond of is the color, it looks awesome clean but is really hard to keep that way.
Which one would you pick? It would spend most of its time as a DD, with only a few trips a year as a tow rig and towing the boat small distances. I could however use a truck for all sorts of hauling duties.
EDIT: both have the MDS system to save gas on the highway, the Grand's towing capacity is ~7716 lbs and the Ram's is ~9100
