    An empty trailer? Probably.

A trailer with a Jeep? It's doable, but not recommended in any way. I've seen it done, but the guy I know that did it was an experienced driver and even he said it got hairy in a couple areas.

Moving the load forward isn't the problem. Stopping it will be.

EDIT: Just saw you meant a travel trailer -- how much does it weigh?

How much does it weigh? LOL, I have a 76 Palomino Popup with hard sides that weighed more than most lightweight travel trailers LMAO. So I'd imagine that you would be okay, trailer brakes on the trailer? Weight Distributing Hitch? Both things to think about. 4.7 have enough power? Damn right it does, but stopping and control are also important. You should be good though towing it with some sense.

How new is the trailer? That will give me a better guess at weight, as well as is it a tandem axle or just a single axle. I was within 50lbs guessin the weight of SuperScout's Scout Traveler, gimme some specs LMAO

id think youd be fine. it looks as if you could pick it up by the tongue and walk it around the yard haha. expecially if its gutted, those things inherently dont weigh too much. the axles and frame weigh the most out of that whole outfit

Your less than 5k lb without a doubt. I think you will be FINE and DANDY! Use your head, use the transmission, remember your not empty and it ain't gonna stop or turn on a dime, have a nice trip with your new trailer

I love how the people who are telling you that you'll have issues with control and stopping have never owned a wj.

I pulled a hard sided trailer with 3000+ lbs of slate in it with no problems. I wouldn't go any heavier without trailer brakes, but it had no problems.

I have friends that pull their tow rigs with their wj's with no problem. I can't speak to that, only the enclosed single axle trailer I used (and had slightly overloaded). And that's probably slightly smaller but much heavier than what you're about to tow.
taking unsafe rigs to a whole other level

Ive driven and towed with family members WJ's one a 4.0 the other a 4.7. Towed a 6x12 enclosed trailer both times helping cousins move. You basically nailed it on the head man, anymore than 3k i'd want brakes and sway control without a doubt in my mind. That short wheelbase isn't fun to tow with plain and simple. He will be fine though.

A trailer that small will be fine on a WJ with a 4.7L. 383 240z pulled his YJ on a 16' steel trailer with his 99 4.7L WJ and it did amazingly well. If your going to be doing it all the time I'd invest in a brake controler and a weight distribution hitch.

no absolutely not you will need a cummins with 4 turbos, a tuner, nitrous, dual 15" stacks and at least 15000 hp.
It's a 4.0L...no matter what you do, it's going to make a funny noise.

And if you can get a forklift moving at 100MPH on electric, I want in on that project, sounds like a good time!
