It's only nuts and bolts Mud
The part out is a ways off right now. I'll post a new ad when/if that time comes. Those prices are about right.

Ahhh, I'm keepin it. The thing runs like a top, it goes where ever I point it (when the axles are in a good mood), and it's mine. It needs a cage and some tons under it to be done. As far as an open bodied rig, I'll just take the doors off once it's caged.
The axles will be for sale soon!
This has got to be the stupidest god damn sport I've ever been a part of.

LMFAO!!!!!! I say that too myself almost everytime I have to replace a part on mine and it gives me fits. Then I take it out and it impresses the hell out of me again, and i'm like wow, I really wanted to get rid of this thing for something else!?! HAHA good choice Tom, that thing is gonna be about the most badass XJ around once she gets tons

LOL, thanks Jon. I needed that.
No but really, I'm a numbers guy. Almost done with an accounting degree. I learn about depreciation all day. Everything in me says how god damn retarded of a sport this is. It's fun though

I'm glad to see you are keeping it. I just got twin sticks and corners for mine. Cage will be very soon.

I was thinking about trading my TJ in for something with a better mileage, and a lower payment, the I start looking a parts I want, picture building it up, and how badass it will look when I'm done, and I forget why I wanted to get rid of it
Brent, I'm gald to see I'm not the only idiot lol. That things is gona be bad ass.
I don't know. I hope I don't piss anyone off by saying this but there seems to be a pattern to this whole wheeling thing. You get guys like me, noobs, that spend a shit ton of money and time to build up there rigs (I'm not there yet) only to get tired of it and sell it off for something smaller. I guess you eventually get sick of towing your 1-ton POS buggy everywhere and end up just wanting a weekend warrior to drive to and from the trails. So you pretty much just end up back where you started. WTF.
I know that doesn't speak for everybody, but a lot. It's just a lot of time and money. But then again, what hobby isn't that way. It's pretty obvious I'm thinking way to deep into this lol. I think my head's been buried a little too deep in classifieds lately.
Then again, I guess competing is at the other end of the spectrum.

My biggest problem, I think, is I don't spend enough time driving/wheeling mine and I get myself buried under projects and lose interest in my jeep. For awhile a lot of the projects have been replacing stupid things and now I'm getting into the fun things. I've come to the conclusion I'm not going to go tons yet and just stick to the mod trails. Eventually (years from now) I'll probably end up going with tons but for this summer I just want to enjoy wheeling, i haven't done enough of that.

Yeah, I can definitely see that being an issue. I guess what got me thinking about all of this is knowing what it's going to take to get it to wheel the trails I want to wheel. For some stupid reason I can't be happy until I can run the tuff stuff without breaking. That, plus I know eventually the jeep is going to look like a crumbled up peice of paper. O'well, F it. There isn't a rig out there that doesn't circum to the abuse we put these things through and they all require a shit ton of work to do it.
