Thanks Jay! I hope to get out to a ride and hit the trails with you again. Watching you run the YJ is a good time!

Well, time for an update. I traded my XJ off on another Jeep. The new owner will take very good care of it, and finish it into the perfect rig it should have been, when it's done i'll update a pic into this thread to offer closure to what I shouldn't have been lazy and done all along. I have changed directions, may god have mercy on my soul hehe new thread /and so it begins!!!

Long ass story but I got my wagon back. I should have never traded it to begin with but being in the YJ buggy was a blast, I'll have another buggy one of these days just built a lot differently.

Now what everyone wants to see, the wonder wagon is back and better than ever...

So final closure on this thread, wheeled every black trail and a red or two at Rausch and AOAA with the XJ on 35s. Worked perfectly. Snagged a 78 CJ7 to build for my girlfriend a while back, wasn't using the XJ at all anymore and decided to get rid of her. Had more rot in her than was t be dealt with so sent her down the road to someone in Altoona. It was a fun 11 or 12yrs with it.

It sounds like you had a great time wheeling your XJ on 35s at Rausch and AOAA, and it's always exciting to add a new project to the garage like the 78 CJ7 for your girlfriend. It's understandable that after 11 or 12 years with the XJ, it was time to move on, especially if it had significant rust issues that needed to be addressed. I'm glad to hear that you were able to find a new owner for the XJ and hopefully, it will continue to bring joy to its new owner.
