Thumbs up Raccoon Creek State Park

Anyone ever camped here or heard anything about the camping here? It seems like a nice place, its not too far, looks like a couple campsites are sorta spread out. I think the more spread out the sites the better though. I'm thinkin about goin soon with the gf. Any info on the area would be awesome

Just a basic campsite. Dirt area for your tent, a place for a vehicle or two, and a crappy old picnic table. I think it's like $10 or something. The sites aren't too close which I like, but not super private either. It's only 45 minutes from Pittsburgh so it's nice and close.

Other than camping, it's a great swimming lake/beech there. LOTS of hiking trails, I used to head up there a lot to hike with the dog, you can get to some amazing views.

We like it. It's a nice close by place to get away. The lake is nice to swim at and the hiking trails are cool. The bath houses were clean too.

That's about in my back yard, about 5 min down the road. Its a nice place. Lots of good hiking. They also have some really nice cabins across the road from rt 18, opposite side of the road from the lake.

Yep, bout 5-10 minutes away from me too.

Some wheeling spots out that way too (Not in the park a few miles down the road). Nothing major. Some mud holes and creek crossings. Then again I have yet to really venture out.
