    Dual batteries

I am getting ready to wire up a second winch on the back of my jeep, and I am deciding if I want to run a second battery in paralell. I run an Interstate under the hood and it has not givin me any problems. But Now that I have put a larger winch on the front bumper and a second one on the back, I was thinking that adding a second battery wouldnt be a bad idea. My jeep is a manual so when I am winching I usually do so with jeep shut off. (unless I am winching my self which doesnt happen often LOL) So I was just wondering if anyone has done this before or if anyone knows of any links to a writeup (hopefully one with lots of pictures) on how to tackle such a project.

    thanks for the help

    Jeff

I think that I am going to hold off on the second battery until I get an isolator. Ill just run off of the one for now and just keep the other battery as a spare.LOL here Is a pretty good write up if any one else is looking for info on this.

Yeah i thinkkkkkk if you run straight parrell they both have to be identical batteries with an isolator it wont matter.

i would mount it in the back so u don't have a long wire to the winch u can lose alot of juice to the winch even with big cables.
