    contemplating the TRD blower...

for the tundra... the truck tows fine, the blower is just hot... and since i've decided not to buy a motorcycle... that $ could go to a blower....

it takes the truck from 381 hp/401 ft/lb tq to 504 hp and 550 ft/lb tq...

it'd just be nicer for towing and it'd be a lot of fun to drive...

Does it need premium already? Will it with the blower? Is it a dd? Can you afford the extra wear and tear on the engine?

Wear and tear? He'll trade it within 2 years. When has he kept a vehicle for 2 years?

I was about to add the same thing plus added wear and tear on the rest of the truck as well. Can the transmission handle it ? I thought I had read somewhere that they had issues with the transmissions in those trucks. If you did put a blower on it it would be the fastest walrus I ever saw.

you have to run premium and it doesn't need it now... but that's all of like 6 dollars difference at the pump. it is a DD but since it's the TRD blower all the powertrain is still covered under my 5/60 warrenty.

ya it should be able to handle it... i've never read any issues with the 6 speeds and i'm on the tundra forums... actually the tranny strength is one of their selling points lol.

wear and tear, it'll still be covered under warrenty since it's a TRD blower...

someone mentioned trading it in on a diesel, but i really don't want a diesel... plus 505/550 sounds like more fun than 325/610... i only tow a fwe times a year. 500+ hp will be a BLAST

$6k for 100+ hp/tq in your truck or a bike....I'd go bike personally.

But if you do go with the blower, I wanna see what a 500 hp truck is like haha...only been in 500hp cars.

a well tuned blower will incur no more wear and tear than someine stock who has the same driving style. I say go for it. Would be fun, and then when someone is going so slow, we can pass them in no pass zones. I'm all for it haha

If it is a bike or blower, go bike. However, I only wish I had a TRD blown Tundra. Smokin

my thought was buy a 1500 dollar bike later... (since i'm new and will probably drop it anyway) and do this now...

and keep in mind, it's 100 hp and 150 ft/lbs of tq... 550 ft/lbs would be nice for towing...

Is it covered under warranty if YOU install it? Or does the dealer have to do it?

my warrenty is still good, but the blower wouldn't be covered.

if they install the blower is also covered under powertrain warrenty

525hp, was fun. Pulled the motor to put in my 47 Dodge pickup instead. Something lighter. The 68 Chevy was too heavy, it just tore stuff up.

it will no matter how you tune it, but you can minimalize it alot if you do it right.

and do they make a turbo? id probably go with that instead if it were my truck. honestly i wouldnt put tanything into it if it were my truck cause if it were it would be a 79 ford or something with more rust than body and id drive it twice a month lol. now in a car, i wonder if you can make an entire exhaust out of turbos lol
    96 xj rust
    some old chevy rust
    some motorsickles

    and a dirtymax
